With the increase in the rate of vaccine delivery in the United States, the number of new pneumonia cases has dropped sharply every day. After more than a year of waiting, we finally see the dawn of the end of the virus battle in 2021!!!
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Damai has been working 100% from home in WFH. In order to facilitate his future commuting, we will move to DTLA, a city a little closer to Damai’s work place. Taking advantage of Chris’s resignation, we decided to go to the US East Florida. "Try to live for a month. It is a rare opportunity in life to have such a long time to travel. Of course, we must take good care of it!! Miami is our Florida trip. The first stop, this time we spent a total of seven days in Sunny Miami~

Introduction to Miami City and Tourism Climate
Miami is divided into two parts, one part is located in the mainland of America (Downtown Miami), and the other part is in the archipelago (Miami Beach and the famous South Beach area).
Miami has a warm tropical climate, warm and humid all year round, with a dry season in winter, and the rainy season in summer and most of it follows the hurricane season. Chrissy and Barley chose to travel to Florida on the most pleasant April day. The weather is warm but not hot. If the situation permits, it is highly recommended to choose to travel to Florida from March to May!
Miami transportation
Miami’s transportation can be roughly divided into three types, public transportation, car rental, and ride-sharing apps.
1. Public transportation: Chris has only briefly read the official website before decisively giving up on the public transportation in Miami. There is a Metrotrail in Miami that connects Miami Airport and downtown Miami, as well as the free Miami Beach Trolley that runs in the Miami Beach area. I personally think that the United States is not as developed in Asia as any other means of public transportation except for the New York subway. In addition, it is uncertain how long the intervals between the various shifts will be in the current epidemic.. I will not consider it this time.
2. Renting a car: First of all, renting a car is of course very convenient, but the traffic in Miami Beach is very congested and terrifying. Everyone is driving on a rampage... If you are not familiar with the local road conditions, driving and driving will actually be stressful. In addition, the crowded South China Sea stall in Miami is very difficult to find on-street parking spaces, and hourly parking lots are also scaryly expensive.
3. Ride-sharing App (Uber, Lyft): The transportation method chosen by Chrissy and Barley. First, a big city like Miami is very easy to call a car and won’t wait too long. Second, I really don’t want to spend extra effort to cope with the chaotic traffic in Miami... If the main mode of transportation like us is shared rides, choose a place to stay. Pay attention to the location of the attractions you want to go, so as not to spend a lot of transportation expenses in vain.
Where to stay in Miami
This time, Chris chose to live in North Miami Beach, which is close to the beach and has restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
I didn’t choose to live in the famous super kicking area in South Beach because the two of us were really old and couldn’t stand the drunken young people making a big noise in the middle of the night 😅😅😅
I personally feel that living in Miami’s North Beach is a very good balance. The Airbnb we live in is the beach at two intersections. There is a small swimming pool and outdoor seating area downstairs (Damai sometimes comes out of the room to work by the pool in the sun). Next door is Walgreens where you can buy the daily necessities that you are missing. There are several good restaurants nearby to choose from, and you can sleep quietly at night.
For a group like us who work and vacation far away, North Beach has convenient living functions. If you want to have a drink in the evening, you can go to South Beach at any time, which is ideal~

Recommended tourist attractions in Miami
1. Miami South Beach-South Beach / Ocean Drive
The most famous sin city of Miami is of course its colorful nightlife.
The most lively area of nightlife is concentrated on a street called Ocean Drive in South Beach. There are many men and women in cool clothes on the street. Whether it is day or night, the bars are full of people. Just two steps away is a new bar, full of guests. Just go to the next one, not afraid to have no choice😂
Chrissy and Barley agree that South Beach is lively and lively, but it is obvious that the consumer groups here are generally low in age (probably all college students in their early twenties), and the price of wine is expensive and low... (How much do these people spend? Money can buy drunk? 🤨)
But now that I have come to Miami, I can't help but go to a few restaurants and bars, Bar Hopping, and I will introduce them in detail for your reference~ ⚠️ Attention: Ocean Drive in South Beach has always been extremely congested... Not only is the parking space difficult to find, the closer you get to the area, the harder it is to drive, and the driving may get angry 😅. If you want to go to South Beach, it is recommended that you choose to ride together, or you can avoid drunk driving, and you can kill two birds with one stone!

2. Vizcaya Manor-Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
Chris didn't have much expectation for Vizcaya Museum. I wanted to say that since I came to Miami, I would go and take a look. The result is amazing!! It is really beautiful!!
The Visgaia Manor was built between 1914 and 1922. It was previously owned by businessman James Deering and was his winter villa at the time.
It means that the gardens of rich people are too exaggerated!!!! When we common people are still struggling with a few rooms and bathrooms, their gardens can directly accommodate several houses.
In addition to the super magnificent garden, the Visgaia Manor is close to the sea, and you can also enjoy the invincible sea view of the wealthy. There is also a seaside tea house that you decided to build on a whim. The atrium inside the house is designed with glass skylights, and all outdoor plants have enough sunlight to survive indoors, which is very worth seeing!!
The manor is very suitable for girls who like to take pictures. If you train your boyfriend or husband, you can take photos you like. Chrissy also saw wedding or graduation photos taken, the finished product must be very beautiful~~~
Note: Tickets cannot be purchased on-site during the epidemic. If you want to visit, remember to book tickets online in advance!

3. Wynwood Street Art District-Wynwood Walls
The first thing you will notice when walking in the Wynwood Street Art District is that the walls in this area are filled with graffiti of various artists, which are colorful and form a unique street landscape.
Wynwood Street Art District has a small outdoor exhibition hall-Wynwood Walls. It occupies a small area, and it takes about fifteen minutes to complete a lap. Neither Chrissy nor Barley has any artistic appreciation skills. They just take a picture and take a look at each wall and it will come out. 😅😅😅
For us, the business district of Wynwood Street Art District is what we are really interested in~ Apart from the famous party area, South Beach, which is full of various bars and restaurants, Wynwood belongs to Miami.
If you want to go to the Wynwood Arts District, don’t miss the super delicious doughnut The Salty Donuts, which is not as sweet as ordinary American desserts. As an ant man, Chris highly recommends it!! 👍️

4. Bayside Marketplace-Bayside Marketplace
Bayside Marketplace (Bayside Marketplace) is located next to Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami and is a large outdoor mall by the sea. In addition to shopping, you can also enjoy the sun, the sea, and outdoor performances. We all like the atmosphere very much. We drank a few glasses of Margarita leisurely! 😉
I wanted to say that I could sit and watch the Ferris wheel to watch the Miami skyline, but I felt that the fare CP was a bit low. If you bring children, they should like it ❤️
Bayside Marketplace also sells a lot of Miami sightseeing itineraries, such as sightseeing buses, cruises, water sports, etc. If you are interested, you can ask for details at each booth.

5. Little Havana-Little Havana
Miami’s Little Havana district has gathered many immigrants from Central and South America, especially Cuban immigrants. Walking in Little Havana, you can feel the strong Central and South American style. The walls of nearby buildings are colorful, and the houses are painted in bright colors such as sky blue, yellow, red, etc., which is especially enthusiastic under the sunshine of Florida!
Street features of Little Havana:
1. Colorful rooster sculptures placed outside the shops. Each rooster looks and color is different, and counting chickens on the road is not boring! In addition to fake chicken sculptures, you will also encounter real wild chickens to go shopping on the street from time to time. Pedestrians give way to them hahaha~
2. There are many cigar shops in Little Havana. Those who are interested can not only buy inside, but they can also visit the process of cigarettes, labeling, and packaging when passing through the shops.
3. You can also taste authentic Cuban cuisine in Little Havana. Barley and Chris were very nutritious and full every day during the trip. At that time, we didn’t want to enter the restaurant to have a complete meal. We chose a Cuban sandwich shop "Sanguich De Miami" that Yelp highly rated. It is highly recommended!! Totally Delicious beyond my expectations~~~
6. Marlins Ballpark
The home stadium of the Major League Baseball Miami Marlins-Marlins Baseball Stadium was officially opened in 2012. It is a relatively new and modern baseball stadium in the United States.
There is a huge canopy above the Marlins baseball stadium. When it rains, it can be closed by remote control so that the game can be held as usual. Damai said that the canopy is so huge that it takes 15 minutes to fully open/close 😲
There is also a large number of gourmet restaurants in the stadium, and there is also a nightclub, where you can watch the football while playing! 😆😆😆
Damai has been an out-and-out super baseball fan since he was a child. His only wish when he came to Miami was to go to the Marlins Baseball Stadium. He didn't care about leaving all other decisions to Chris. Although I don't have much preference for baseball, it's not bad to be able to visit the U.S. baseball stadium to eat and eat!
👉️ Marlins Ballpark Address: 501 Marlins Way, Miami, FL 33125
⚠️ Note: In response to the current limit on the number of people in the stadium of the epidemic, each specialty gourmet restaurant can only sell fried foods of uniform specifications, which is not as diverse as before the epidemic. You must also wear a mask all the way when watching a football game or walking around the court.
7. American Airlines Arena-American Airlines Arena
If you are a fan of the NBA, come to Miami, you will definitely want to see the home of the Heat – American Airlines Arena (American Airlines Arena), right? 😎
The American Airlines Stadium is located in downtown Mimaiah, Florida. It was completed in 2001 and has modern sound effects and stage equipment. In addition to NBA games, concerts, large-scale performances, etc. will also be held at the American Airlines Arena, which is a multi-functional venue.
Barley and Chris are not fans of the NBA, so they didn't go in to watch it~
8. Everglades National Park-Everglades National Park
The Everglades National Park is probably Chris’ most anticipated and favorite attraction when planning Miami’s itinerary. I really want to see the wild crocodile!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
If you want to see the famous wild crocodiles in Florida, there are two ways. One is to go to the Everglades National Park (such as the famous Shark Valley) on your own. With a bit of luck, you may be able to observe it from a distance. It is a cheaper option. The second way is to sign up for Airboat Trip like Chrissy. The guide will take the participants into the Everglades Park on a fan boat to find wild crocodiles. Does it sound cool and like an adventure trip to Africa!! 😍😍😍
Barley and Chris agreed that taking an Airboat Tour is really the right choice. Not only do you see a lot of wild crocodiles (swimming, sunbathing, hiding in the grass, etc.) in the one-hour trip, but also alligators. Very close, Chris should have never seen the crocodile herself so close in her life 🤣
Must promote this very good Airboat Tour.
9. Biscayne National Park-Biscayne National Park
If you are a scuba diving person, don’t miss Biscayne Bay, one of the mecca for scuba diving in the United States! Biscayne National Park is located in South Florida, covering an area of 700 square kilometers, 95% of which are Waters. There are underwater archaeological waterways in the park, and you can follow the route to visit six shipwrecks.
In addition to more difficult scuba diving, visitors can also choose to kayak in the park, take a glass boat, fish, watch seabirds, or hike along the broad-leaved forest trails on the offshore sandbank islands.

10. Key West / Key West-Key West
Asians are generally unfamiliar with Florida’s Key West, but in fact, this small island at the southernmost tip of the United States is a famous resort. It takes about four hours to drive from Miami by car. The landscape along the sea and sky is very beautiful! (No wonder Hemingway will choose to complete the book "The Old Man and the Sea" here 😆)
The pace of Key West Island is very slow. In addition to the invincible sea view, the lively Key West Duval Street also has a lot of restaurants and bars. It is not boring while away from the hustle and bustle. It is a beach town where people can relax and have a good mood every day. ❤️
After the trip in Miami, Barley and Chris went to live on Key West for a whole week. It was still unsatisfactory to play this small island thoroughly. I really like the atmosphere here!!!
